Students who complete all state requirements for Firefighter I & II certification now will receive an Arizona State certificate within 30 days of successfully passing the state written and skill certification exams, and will be certified within the State of Arizona. AzCFSE is currently in the process of submitting an application for IFSAC membership. This application must be approved by the IFSAC membership before the accreditation process can proceed.
At the time the membership application is approved AzCFSE will be eligible for a site visit. After the site visit is completed, and AzCFSE has met all the requirements for accreditation, the IFSAC Board will vote on the accreditation. Once the process is complete and all approvals have been obtained AzCFSE will be able to issue IFSAC seals. This is a lengthy process which will not be completed until some time after September 2011 due to the review and approval process.
Certificates with an IFSAC seal will be available to students that complete approved programs at the point that AzCFSE successfully completes all requirements for IFSAC accreditation.
